Oh @kylez83 sorry to hear that you are suffering it does sound that it could be a muscular thing. I have to say I feel completely normal now and wouldn't know I had even had surgery if it wasn't for the 3 scars. Hope things improve soon definitely speak to your dctr if you are concerned. How is your cycle going hun you have had your iui now haven't you?

Hi @Heyside it doesn't usually bother me, it's only played up twice, first time was when I spent a day shopping and walking around and then yesterday / last night after rushing around all day / night for dps party. Yes have had the iui, am 12 dpo so waiting to see if af arrives. How are you doing?

@kylez83 could the pain you are possibly suffering not be related to the lap at all and maybe even bfp related?? Just throwing it out there. Good luck with the rest of your tww hopefully it ends in success xx

I had my transfer yesterday and we were very lucky to get a day 5 blast which is unusual for us it usually takes us to day 6 (not sure if the ovarian drilling helped or maybe my changed diet), we are very happy with that, we also put back a embryo which was slightly behind that so 2 in total.

Oh I wish @Heyside but af has defs started to show it's so disappointing, month after month and nothing. We are now not going to do anymore iuis and are going into ivf. We plan to do it on my cycle which starts end of May with ovulation end of first week of June.

Sorry to sound naive but could you please explain more on what you have had done? From my limited knowledge you have already had egg retrieval, I don't know the correct term for the joining of the sperm and egg, I assume the 5 day blast is how long they "baked" before 1 embryo was put back and you have 1 spare? Is that right? I really need to start reading up on this don't I lol

Oh so sorry @kylez83 I really was hoping it could be a positive sign for you. It must feel good to have a plan moving forward though hun and the ivf may just bring you your bfp? Good luck with it all hun x

It is daunting moving into IVF but as you have done IUI procedures in the past you will be use to many of the steps and it will be the egg collection and transfer which will be the biggest step.
It depends on the type of cycle your specialist chooses for you but you may need to down regulate with a drug like synarel (which you sniff) or Decapeptyl (injection) which will supress all your hormones. After your period you will then probably inject with puregon/gonal f or similar drug to stimulate your ovaries as you have done before with an iui, this might be a higher dose due to wanting more follicles. Usually I then add in another injection to stop ovulation and my fs will keep a close eye on me with regular scans.
One your follicles are ready for collection you will trigger ovulation to time it precisely for collection. I always go under a general anesthetic for collection but some women do this with light sedation in which they are awake, I think this depends on individual clinics and personal circumstances.
Once your eggs are collected they with put them together with your partners sperm and the wait begins. You will be informed on how many eggs fertilise and how they develop through the week. This is the stressful part as there is not much you can do its out of your hands. We collected 28 eggs this time (thats a lot but due to my pcos) and yesterday at transfer we had one blastocyst and the rest were moralas which are a day behind. This is progress for us as it normally takes 6 days for us to get a blastocyst. We put 2 embryos back the blast and our higest graded best looking morala. We were then waiting on another 4 to see how they progress today to see if they could be frozen unfortunately we dont know yet but we were told 2 were a little poor so they might not make it.
Sorry if I have confused you with all that info, maybe join the ivf threads on here too hun the girls are very knowledgeable and supportive and I am sure you will get lots of help xx

P.s. some clinics put embryos back at day 2/3 my previous budget clinic did this. Sometimes this is as they believe the uterus is the best environment for them but some clinics dont have the correct culture to grow them out to day 5. My current well regarded fs prefers to wait until day 5 and transfer blastocysts as by that stage they have gone through the hardest development and are supposedly more likely to implant.

@Heyside thanks for all the info. What city are you in and what clinic do you use? We are to travel 5 hours to Sydney and see Genea when we start. Dp has to go there sometime in the next few weeks now that af is here to do another sample and have it counted, cleaned and frozen in case things get worse. I need to call our local fs to let him know af arrived and to get the referral for us to chat to the ivf clinic. We have decided to do 3 more cycles naturally and then my cycle starting end of May ovulating end of first week of June we will do the ivf. We both have businesses with busy schedules so that's the best timing when things will be a bit quieter and we will then get a March baby which is a star sign we like.

Good luck with your transfer, when will you know results?

No worries @kylez83, I live in QLD and travel an hour and a half to my clinic in Brisbane after having no success at my old local clinic. Gosh hun 5 hours travel is a long but hopefully it will be worth it, hopefully you work everything around your business. Thanks hun my transfer was on Saturday and blood test is a week on Wednesday, just found out we have no frosties so thats dissapointing 😔.

@Heyside sorry to hear there were no frosties, that's really disappointing for you it's so mind blowing how many eggs can be retrieved and how little good ones can survive the whole process.... did you guys put two back? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

I called my fs clinic before and told them the iui was unsuccessful and asked for fs to call me to clarify what we need to do now in preparation for ivf. And so it begins

Thanks @kylez83 depending on the outcome this cycle we might have to consider stopping this whole thing since in total we have had over a 100 eggs retrieved. Yes we put 2 back. Positivity has to be the way to go tnough I think.

Glad you have got things started hun hopefully your hourney is straight forward and you get your bfp very soon x
