Hi All
DH got his blood test results back today and was told he has high FSH. He will be doing a biopsy to find some sperm.
What I was wondering is if there is anything you can do to lower the FSH level?
DH has azoospermia where there was no sperm in the sample.

Hi malak,
I'm in the same boat as you. High FSH for DH with azoo. For what I understand you don't want to reduce the FSH as the levels are elevated only if there no sperm or low sperm & the body does this to assist in creating it(if at all it does is another question). This is how my FS has explained it to me.

Hmmm all so confusing. I would have thought lowering them would help create sperm. I wish I had have asked the questions I have now on the day of the appointment

I forgot to add. I thought that the reason for azoospermia was because of the high FSH levels.
Now I am confused

It's how they diagnose it...when they find no sperm in SA, it could be one of many things. If it's not y deletion, it could be other reasons but they detect it through the level of FSH. Every case is different & this is my husbands case. They will have to identify the cause through the biopsy tomorrow. Till then the cause of azoo is unknown. Hope that helps.
