Reading through some of the threads on here makes me realise how hard we are on ourselves as mothers. We seem to think we are doing something wrong if our house isn't spotless, if our kids aren't eating healthy food 100% of the time, if our babies aren't doing what we expected. Time to celebrate why we are good mums!
I am really struggling to think of something to put into words, so I will come back & edit when I can.
So let's start.. I am a good mum because...

Im a good mum because they are loved, feed, sheltered and clothed.
Because the last thing they hear in their ears every night is me saying "I love you".

I'm a good mum because my son will always know he is loved and treasured.
I will always go above and beyond for anything he needs.

I'm a good mum because I keep Dd safe, happy and fed. I'll spend hours talking to her and trying to make her smile.

I'm a good mum because I'm patient and kind and my babies know I love them more than anything else in the entire world.
I'm a good mum because I'm working on my own self confidence issues so that I don't pass this crap onto my kids. I'm a good mum for even considering that I need to do that, and I'm a good mum because I will do it.
Oh and I'm a good mum because I let things go. My house can't be perfect, we can't and won't eat 100% healthy and clean 100% of the time, and we don't have to, we can have a day where we do nothing but watch tv all day, and screw anyone who thinks that's bad parenting, coz my kids sure don't!

I'm a good mum because even though I'm hurting so much physically and emotionally, I'm still able to put on a big smile and act silly with my DD....and in doing that, realise that I am so blessed.
