Default 'Bring a plate BBQ' what do you bring?

I guess it's that time of year of parties and bbqs! We are going to one next weekend and I have to take snacks and a dessert. Any suggestions? Usually I would make a spinach cob loaf but would love something different. Also any 'finger food' style desserts, like slices etc.
Please share your recipes or what you bring, even if it's not a snack or dessert!

Caramel tarts. Bakers caramel, pre made tart cases, whipped cream on top. Always a winner.

-Mexican layer dip with corn chips
Bottom layer block of philly mixed with packet of taco seasoning, next layer 1 lg avo mashed mixed with 1-2 tbsp sourcream, salt pepper lemon juice (I make to taste) next layer jar of salsa topped with spring onions and grated cheese. This is always a huge hit!

    - cheese and meat platter

    - cheese ball, don't have recipe on hand but its so good!

    - mars bar slice

    - mini caramel tarts

    - individual pavs

Because you want to be rude? Or do you generally not know what 'bring a plate' means in Australia?

I usually take some dip and chips, cheeses, kabana, maybe a cake to share throughout the night.

    Ohhhhh....a dad joke?

I do know someone who when they first immigrated to Australia turned up to a 'bring a plate' BBQ with a plate because they thought that their new friend must be low on crockery

A crab dip & crackers, super easy and always a hit.

Smooth philly dip over the bottom of a small bowl or plate, top with crab meat (I use tinned) then spread "spicy red sauce" (maggi brand, it's not spicy) over the top.

    Corn relish dip
Creamed corn & bacon cob loaf
    Cheese platter

Desserts: caramel tarts, cheesecake or a caramel slice.
