Default Choosing Child Care - What matters to you?

Choosing Child Care – WHAT MATTERS TO YOU?

Researchers from Macquarie University, together with Goodstart Early Learning and KU Children’s Services, are investigating what influences parents’ child care choices.

We would like to find out what matters most to parents who:
    • are thinking about using formal child care
    • have decided not to use formal child care
    • currently use formal child care
    • no longer use child care because of quality concerns
Formal child care includes long day care, preschool/kindergarten or family day care.

Parents who complete the survey can go into a draw to win one of eight $100 Wish cards.

Find out more information or complete the survey at: http://tinyurl.com/MQchildcaresurvey

    Many thanks and best wishes.

    Thank you so much Alexis243.
It's a particularly hot topic for many reasons -
    it's so personal to families,
the Productivity Commission are in the process of reviewing all the submissions put forward by individuals and organisations after their draft review into child care and education - and what they say will surely influence future government policy,
I could go on and on - it's such an interesting and important topic for discussion, and one which often only gets brought up in the media when something dramatic or sensational has occurred.

Thanks again for taking time to do the survey.

Completed the survey. And that's the easy part! Choosing or accessing a provider for second half of 2015 will be another story.

    Thank you so much vue.

Absolutely! Keep an eye out for the Productivity Commission's report which should be released in October. It's always good to be informed about the possible changes in policy.

Default We still need more parents, and parents to be to take part in the research.

Thanks to everyone who has already completed the online survey.

We still need more parents to fill in the survey though - particularly from states other than NSW, and also from parents who are yet to enrol their child/children in formal childcare. If you or anyone you know fits that description please consider filling in the online survey.

And remember, parents who complete the survey can go into a draw to win one of eight $100 Wish cards.

I'm concerned about this. In a regional area, with little choice and serious competition I'm afraid I'll have to take what I can get so I can return to work.
