After a roll in the hay last night while lying naked in bed (as you do) I started thinking after I heard a noise. ... (was older DS playing X-box)...
I thought what in hell would I do if it was someone else in the house .....I'm naked I'd have to find clothes to put on what would I use as a weapon .....we have nothing besides knives in the kitchen....
But got me thinking what does everyone else do or have in the ready...are you prepaired ....
I was thinking maybe I should get a bat to have a long side the bed .....
If anything I would scare the intruder half to death being naked chasing them with a bat they would never come back.....lol

Oh this made me giggle, much needed today!
I just keep DH nearby. Having said that both of us naked would scary anyone away, no bat required.

I often think this, the house is locked up very well and we have a security system, plus a dog that barks and protects very well
with weapons/objects I would be to afraid they would then get that object off me and use it, I would have to be pretty confident in self defense before I even bought something like that into the mix.

We have a wooden baseball bat. First place we've lived in that I've felt the need to have something!

When I'm alone without DH I keep a golf club under the bed.
I've totally had that thought before too haha. I was thinking "what if I had to run to the neighbours for help and I was totally starkers?!"

When do is away I keep a torch by my bed. I have run outside chasing a intruder with just my torch. Funny enough he took off over the 6th wooden fence with a dog biting at his but.

I sleep nude all the time, but I keep a dressing gown beside my bed just in case. I don't keep any weapons nearby as I would be too worried an intruder would get hold of it and use it on me.

That's a good question, one I hope never to have an answer to DP is my weapon he's big and scary looking (I've lost count of how many time people have said to me "oh when I saw him I thought he was really scary and would be mean but then he turned out really nice!) I thankfully am never naked either lol, well not for very long anyway

We live semi rural so feel pretty safe so admittedly even forget to lock the door sometimes, we are on property, but close enough to be seen by neighbours. You'd have to be pretty determined to want to break in. Plus we have a cattle dog who would go mad at someone.
When we lived in suburbia DH would keep a baseball bat under the bed. We lived in a dodgy area and that was his choice. Being neked would only add to the fright!! When I lived alone I had pepper spray but if I ever heard a noise I'd just lay there pretending to be asleep. Would be different now with kids tho.

I sleep naked a bit too. Dp sleeps with a metal baseball bat under his side of the bed. When it comes to hearing strange noises he grabs the bat and holds it tight while peeking out the window to make sure no one attacks me while I go investigate.. he figures I'm the bait and if anyone is going to be there it gives him the chance to sneak up on them and hit them with the bat while they are distracted by me.
Well... That's his excuse..
The real reason is he is a scaredy cat and he knows I know that but likes to pretend he is trying to outsmart them.
And I just chuck a nightie on before I go be the "bait". We live in a pretty good neighbourhood and have a big bugger off fence with an equally big bugger off sounding dog so I'm not really that worried.
