My DS loves his little tikes cozy coupe car he got from my parents - would be his favourite. We got him a little tikes cubby house which he loves and plays in everyday and also a fisher price rocking giraffe that plays music as you rock on it and he really likes that too!

A plastic cubby with a small slide/steps. It's had lots of use! And for DS a battery operated quad bike. He's on it every day - a mad keen biker

Little Tikes coupe car is fabulous- our 6 year old still squashes into it. Also, Little Tikes solid plastic slippery dip. Still in daily use 8 years later! Or Little Tikes easel- for painting and chalk board. They are all quality products with appeal across the years.

DS will be 1 next weekend. We have also bought him a 'smart trike'. My inlaws are getting him a stand alone 'toddler swing' from toys r us, my mum is getting him a ride on 'wheely bug'. Others are getting him a fold out couch, a tent and tunnel from IKEA, a shell sand pit from bunnings, books and summer clothes ie bathers/ boardies etc.

Oh these are some great ideas! I want to get a slide/swing but wasn't sure what else to get. It is hard having his bday and Christmas around the same time.
