Kind of wish I hadn't tuned in. Feeling rather icky to be an Australian right now. Anyone else watching? Thoughts?

Hi Tainted... Is this the show on racism?

Yep. Its an "Aussie" bloke (read second generation immigrant ) feeling high and mighty because apparently European migrants are so much more beneficial to Australia than African or Middle Eastern immigrants. The show has been a good distraction because it has made me so angry, but I feel physically sick that there are plenty more of 'us' who feel this way. So angry, according to this douche Australia doesn't need Sudanese doctors/other skilled employees. As someone whose grandma was looked after in her nursing home by skilled migrants, particularly those of Sudanese ethnicity, I am furious!

I watched the show and clearly that Nick guy is not a good role model for anyone in Australia. He says things like every dollar he earns, 35 cents goes to centrelink benefits....well guess what? he should blame the politicians for making such policy. Maybe he should complains to politicians for taxing his hard-earned money too much. He also forgets that politicians are known to waste money on stupid non-beneficial projects.
Remember how much government blew taxpayers money on MYKI system in Victoria? Metcard was a wonderful system! I liked it! I didn't like moving away from it. That amount of money could have been used to purchase more trains because we are facing congestion problem with our trains these days.
Nick cared so much about Australian politics that he actually forgot that these days, most political decisions made by politicians are actually causing people to suffer and unable to enjoy life. (Yep, just like Joe Hockey's budget plan). Did you notice how Nick complained about who's gonna pay the bill? well, let's blame the Fat Cats who earn million dollars bonus and make utilities very expensive. Oh and let's also blame politicians for being irresponsible for not investing in infrastructure properly in the past. Don't blame refugees for your taxes. Politicians can easily wipe out Centrelink benefits if they wanted to, but it also means they could lose some money for themselves in return.
