    Last night (my feast day) I went out with a girl friend (I hardly go out without kids). Anyway we shared 1/2 a med pizza, eggplant chips and then had dessert at San Churro!

    So day is my fast day. I've calculated-
    * 1 apple
    * Tuna/lettuce salad
    * 1 chicken skewer, side cauliflower and carrot
    * 1 orange

    That's my 500 calories for today!

    I started at 59.1 and this morning I'm over 60kgs. I'm really strict on fast days, I don't really calculate calories on feast days but don't generally go overboard.

    Can anyone think of why the scales would be going up?? I know I don't have much to lose but I didn't expect to gain weight

    Please help
    Hi ladies, thank you all for your advice and encouragement. You're all doing so well. Well this morning the scales have finally shifted in the right direction.... 58.9kgs down 1.2kgs!!

    I would blame the scales! Must be faulty lol.
    Glad though they are working for you now. Congrats on the loss.
    What are you eating on fast days?

    Thank you so much, I've been mixing it up a bit on fast days, sometimes oats/porridge or soup for lunch, and a tuna salad or steamed dim sims for dinner. Pretty boring but filling.

    I'm proud of myself. Today we were at McDonalds and I had a chicken salad, 178 calories!

    It's so hard on the weekends, Ds and Dh really wanted a BBQ tonight, so I ate a normal dinner :-(
    I'll do my fast days during the week next time!

    Don't get yourself down about it - it's only food Every day is a new start!

    I'm on a feast day but I still feel guilty abut having a treat tonight for the last night of the holidays with the kids - pizza, chips and a kitkat! All within my calorie count, but still ...

    I've been introduced to Lemon with water in it. Doesn't taste too bad. I read that lemon aids digestion and orange slices help with blood circulation. It's not too bad. Not fantastic but I think the trick is to let it infuse long enough. It's a better alternative to cordial and coke. Which I know is so bad for you but I love it lol so I'll cut down slowly. Should make it a treat but I've always just drank it when I've wanted to!

    Water with lemon is the best! I have a large water bottle and I add things to it almost every day.

    Lemon
    Lemon and orange
    Strawberries and blueberries
    Cucumber and mint leaves

    Definitely makes 2 litres of water more interesting! Haha

    Is it not a good idea to leave it overnight though? I had some lemon pieces in water in the fridge and now it tastes a bit bitter?
