We try and fit stuff into 1 day. Like Saturdays I have a class in the mornings then visit friends or family or go out to dinner at night. Sundays is whatever day...we might go out to breakfast or just stay at home hanging out. My husband and I both study so if we need to catch up we do that. I try to do shopping only on weekdays on my days off and when specials in supermarket start as at my local shopping Centre the specials don't seem to last long. I need to have worked all week to be desperate enough to do shopping on a Sunday.

During the week is busy for us. Love nothing better than lazing about, catching up on housework, cooking, go to parks, walks. Let the kids stay in pjs. Refreshed for the next week. We catch up with family but as we have distance between all of us, visits are limited and saved for special occasions.

So , those that are saying they're stricter about saying no to things, how do you prioritise / decide?

I only schedule one event per weekend. Between work, church and family dinners, I can only do one thing. So first in best dressed for me. Right now I have only two days free 1/11 and 10/1/15 till February.
Get your calendar out and start putting things in. I even schedule Xmas shopping and home time so I don't get overwhelmed.
wifey of hubby who is always away. mother of two girls who are always amusing.

My god, we need more friends!!!! The only plans we have are my BIL wedding on 4/10, 1 friends wedding 29/11 and another 27/1/15.
Can I ask how old everyone's children are and who you make plans with? Your friends? Your children's friends / their parents?

Our boys are 6, 4 and 1. We have work functions (DH's work hire our places for family events) my best friends partner is good friends with my husband so we do a lot with their family and extended family, we do a lot with our friends, playdates and birthday parties for the kids, I hate being at home on weekends, being a SAHM I feel like I am trapped at home a lot of the time. So we just go out and do a lot.
