    Beautiful pics ladies!

Good news for once - harmony came back as low risk for everything including Down syndrome.

    And it's a boy

@Sally1981 - that's fantastic news!!! And a little boy, just awesome

Do you mind me asking please at how many weeks did you get the test and how much it costs?? One of our angel bubs had trisomy 13 so I want to get some of those extra tests to ease our minds.

    Thanks ladies.

Ladydee, I had the nt test at 12 weeks which came back high risk for downs then this one at 12+4. You can usually get the harmony from 10 weeks although I couldn't get it then because of my vanishing twin. It cost $520 but they told me if I waited a week it would drop to $395, so I assume that's what it is now. Do you think you'll get one?

I will talk it over with DH and my Ob but yes, I really think I will. Seeing a "perfect" heartbeat twice with perfect growth and everything going well and "normal" and then there suddenly being no heartbeat at the next "reassurance scan" was the worst moment of my life that I never want to replete....at least without some kind of warning. I had that D&C at 11 weeks. Trisomy 13 is a non-compatible with life chromosome problem that was never going to end well.....at most, bub might have lived a few hours or days but most miscarry or are still born. That was our only angel bub we had tested as I didn't want to have multiple D&C's because of the Ashermans risk so the question is still there as to why I m/c the other 3.

Is it like a definite 'yes' or 'no' diagnosis or a 1-in-1000 ect chance type of result?

Your story sounds a lot like mine. 2 scans with normal growth and good heartrate, then a scan a week later showing my baby died the day after the last 'normal' scan. It's awful isn't it?

The test is still presented as in '1 in xxxx' chance but it has a 99% accuracy, which is the same as an amnio (unless you have a vanishing twin like me). It tests the actual DNA rather than look for markers like the NT does (maternal age, bloods, scan).

However, if they do come back high risk they will still recommend an amnio to check the result is the same.

Basically I think the best thing is that it has far less chance of a false positive than the NT.
