Yum yum!! When I was first diagnosed I was just getting over influenza and was in antibiotics for a chest infection. But it was making my levels really low. I had 3 melting moments (one after the other) and tested 2hrs later and it was under 7 - weird ;-)

How bizarre! I had a toasted sandwich, much later lunch than usual and different brand of multigrain bread and had my highest reading ever 8.5. I've had toasties a few times and it's been fine, but not today :-(

Thats annoying! What did you have on your toasty? I usually have ham and cheese and tomato and I'm fine but that's all I have tried on a toasty.

I could only have Burgen. Even 9 Grain, which says it's lowGI sent my levels up close to 7. Normal multi grain was the same as white bread for levels so I could only have one slice.

I just had cheese and tomato. It's always close to 7 if I have 2 slices of bread (multigrain from aldi) but DH bought some other brand at Coles on the weekend - looks the same! I just didn't give it any thought. And I was pretty active in those 2hrs - house jobs, walked to school, etc. oh well, I've only been having maybe one a fortnight over.

I usually have tip top wholemeal and have pretty good numbers. I had multigrain a few weeks ago and had high numbers. Thats ok though cos I dont like multi grain! lol. Have you tried the Bakers Delight high fibre low GI bread? i have ok numbers whenever I have that.

Sounds silly - but I've never thought to just try different bread brands! I'll have to give those a go :-)
