Hugs.. My dp can be the same sometimes. We've had discussions about it and he at least acknowledges it though and is trying to be more emotionally available. Other times when he does try to show he cares I'm in the wrong frame of mind to receive it or realise.
How sad for your parents my parents dog of 10 years had a seizure while I was staying there last week, I also saw my dad cry, it was so scary as I've never really seen him cry though I know he has cause he's been battling depression. That dog is like a 4th child to them, it would destroy them if he died (he is ok now)
