I'm so glad that situation went ok for you. It sounds like he was a perfect gentleman and was really there for you at a time you needed him to be. That's great.

Personally, when you're ready to tell people, if you really felt you had to "explain" to anyone what happened, I'd be inclined to either say misdiagnosed infertility, or "these things happen!" depending on how well you know them

Good luck with your GP and OBGYN appointments, hope everything turns out ok

    Thanks ladies!

Had a scan yesterday but too early to see anything...will have to have another next week.

Yep, a "happy surprise" will be what I tell anyone I'm not close to

I'm glad he took it so well! I sent an email to my DH asking for a male perspective but you don't need it since your DP has responded! Enjoy your little miracle!

As for what to tell family, maybe talk it over with your DP and see what he thinks. To be honest, it's not really any of their business anyway!

Thanks so much for going to that effort! You can still give me your hubby's feedback if you like, DP and I are still in early discussions about the whole thing...he's still in shock I think, and as I suspected, a bit dubious about my diagnosis!

You're right it's no one's business...it's just a bit out of character for both of us as we are pretty responsible people...it would be hard to drop the news without some sort of follow-up comment!

    Thanks again
