What makes you think we weren't tested? We were. Innocent until proven guilty please.

All good meredithgrey, I know you mean well

He won't pressure me for an abortion. But if he brings it up I will respectfully listen to him and we will talk the options through together.

    Ok, update...
I mentioned the situation over the phone a few days ago. I was going to wait to do it in person, but as we both work away from each other, I thought it would be a good idea to give him a heads up early so that he had a few days to process before we meet up again on our time off.

He didn't say much at all, kinda silent.
So we got back together yesterday as we are now on time off. We sat on the couch together for a while then I told him I'd better go and do the second test, just to be sure.

The pack says to wait 3 minutes before reading the result...it took about 20 secs...a bright blue +

So I went back into the lounge room and he was lying on the couch. He knew before I even said anything because he gestured for me to lie with him and he just held me (while I cried, admittedly). Which was very sweet.
We spoke a bit more, he doesn't want to terminate and said it's not my fault.

He has really been a gentleman about the whole thing. If he's disappointed or angry he hasn't let it show, he's just rolling with it.

I was a little surprised that he didn't want to terminate and asked him why...he said because it's a miracle that might not happen again. So sweet!

I have been a roller coaster of emotions I tell ya. I still don't know how we are going to tell friends and family when (if) the time comes...advice??!!
I was thinking "failed birth control" might be the easiest explanation, even though our birth control was minimal. Or "infertility mis-diagnosis". Which one is less shocking? Lol

I am going to my GP today and will see an OBGYN in the next week to rule out (or in) an ectopic pregnancy. Not out of the woods or able to fully plan anything until I check everything is ok. But one day at a time.

Thank you to all the lovely ladies who have replied and are still following this thread. Much love xxx

Oh he sounds like a great guy. Glad it's gone so well. I hope the pregnancy progresses smoothly.

I would just say accidents happen
