Good work. You knew something wasn't right and followed your gut instincts.
Didn't take the PI long to come up with some serious dirt! This creep obviously hasn't covered his tracks well enough.
How sad for your MIL

Your poor MIL but good on you and your DH for getting it sorted before it could have got much worse. She will get her confidence back I'm sure. Well done :0)

Well done you!
for your MIL. She may feel humiliated now but I think it's safe to say that she would be feeling a dam site more humiliated if she didn't know about the man and was fleeced thousands of dollars.
for taking appropriate action!!

Good on you! Your MIL will, over time, appreciate what you've done for her.

Oh the poor woman, these people are so revolting! Very good that you all looked out for her though!

Your mil is lucky to have such caring family like you and your husband. Glad you went with your gut instinct and followed through. What a creep! Must be an idiot too for the P.I to have found info so easily on him. How sad for her. $1000 is still a lot of money but not much in the scheme of things when it could've been more. Can't believe people like that can sleep at night knowingly doing this.
Op do u know if your mil keeps money in the house? Or does she keep credit cards or visa debit cards? Wouldn't put it past that creep to have taken details down of her cards and use them online.

Wow, what an excellent effort by you and your DH, and the PI to get this guy out asap. Your poor MIL, I feel for her she must feel quite tender and sad right now and it's horrible that this dirt bag put her through that. Good riddance to him.
