I am busy getting things together for my ds 4th birthday. We are having a pirate theme this year. My sisters and I always go overboard with our kids birthdays - it is just so much fun!
does anyone else theme their parties and if so, can you share some pictures.... I will share after next week and ds party.

Ooh I wanted to do a pirate theme for DS1 last year but we didn't end up having a party. I did a dinosaur party for his 3rd birthday and a children's character theme for his 1st (everyone dressed up as a kid's character and it was awesome). For his next birthday we are doing a superhero party and for DS2 we are doing Trains (and holding it at a mini train place).
I don't have photos on my phone so I'll come back later when I'm on the computer.

I don't have any pics but I love planning DS birthdays.
We've had a wiggles party, ghost party, a Hungry Jacks/French fries party, a clown party, a bowling/pokemon party and a Bunnings/Gardening party. This year he's having a science party! So much fun!

DH has my pirate party photos (DS 1st birthday) on his computer so I'll try get those over the weekend but a few things that we did that everyone loved were:
- Handed out pirate hats and fake beards / moustaches to the kids and adults ( hilarious photos)
- treasure hunt - for kids under 3 a parent had to play with them, we hid various treasure items and gave clues to find them with a buried treasure at the end
- an "eye" and spoon race ( the pirates lost glass eye! Just plastic balls that looked like eyes) that the kids played then we made all the parents do it and the kids thought it was hilarious
- fairy bread in the shape of skull and crossbones but used Nutella as the base with white sprinkles
- DH carved a pirate ship out of a giant watermelon to put our fruit "cannon" balls in
- personalised treasure chest lolly boxes
- we had a pirate cake that our cake lady made that was a replica of DS baby pirate rattle

Last year for DS 3 rd we did a Disney. "Cars. " theme which was pretty cool - I had signs , personalised water bottles , ticket invitations , themed party food, lolly buffet , lightening mcqueen ice cream cake and I even had cardboard cars made for the kids - I've attached some photos and I'm starting to plan his 4 th in October ( superhero theme ) so will have heaps of photos then!

Tadpoles - I want to do a superhero theme mainly because I want to dress up as Wonder Woman!
simply - I love your themes really original.
EM - I love your pictures, that is so cool. Those box cars look amazing. Can't wait to see your superhero and pirate photos. Can I steal some of your ideas? They are really creative.
