@zoe1974: that's truly a miracle story because I read that the success rate for Sertoli cell only symptom is extremely low. It is very good that dr Lok found sperms on biopsy.

The reason that they can't freeze the sperms because they r very small (compare to egg). If one has millions, it is insignificant when they lose some during the defrost process. If only a few, they will just lose them. This was explained to me by the FS here in Perth and thus the suggestion of doing the cycle concurrently with the TESE. We decide to go against TESE and went down the mTESE path in the end, of course.

We were lucky (also unlucky) to only have 1 good chance. 1 good embryo only. And 1 late developed embryo. Both ended in chemical pregnancies. No idea if it was the sperm or me. You need two to make a baby so no blaming game here. From high to no low was devastating. We were not pushed to go onto the donor route at all. Another round of surgery was put on the table.

You are a very strong woman. I wouldn't have been able to endure 10 yrs of trying. I suffered from depression as a result of this.

All of its own. My DH had enough surgeries in his life and he didn't want another given the low success rate. We could keep trying but I might too old in the end. We aren't looking back because I fell pregnant on my first donor cycle. We have a beautiful, healthy baby who we love and enjoy. In fact, it is through this process that we r keen to donate (if at all possible) in the future.

    you should keep trying. @jonathant.

@zoe1974: ya, I was about to guess that you were drM patient. I had seen him as well. luckily, we now have a dr here in Perth who is willing to administer the infusion. Or else I would be ending up more trips to Sydney last year.

Hi everyone haven't been on here for about a week. I think someone has already mentioned it but has anyone had any dealing with dr turek in USA? I will contact Dr Golovsky too as quite a few of you have recommended him.
    Thanks
