    Default Comfort sucking

Not sure why but ds seems to want to comfort suck this afternoon. He is absolutely refusing to take his dummy but my nipples are getting so sore that I dont think I can keep doing it - what can I do?

He fed then screamed & did tired signs but would not go to sleep. I tried everything to get him to stop screaming but nothing worked except offering the boob - he sucked for a while (but it was just suck, suck, suck etc as opposed to suck, swallow) then fell asleep. As soon as I transferred him to his cot he woke up & screamed to the point that he choked . So now he's back comfort sucking again, but he doesnt seem to be getting a good latch this time & its really painful

    Any tips?

When is your next appointment with your lactation consultant? Can you call the ABA help line?

He probably just wants you. No help but babies go thru this.
