Yup some offer free shipping to Australia and even if they don't, I find the prices quite reasonable. I think last time I bought shoes, I paid around $40 postage or maybe a bit higher for 3-4 pairs of shoes. Which i don't think is bad.

But @BettyW is right, they won't ship designer cosmetics (i'm a chanel, guerlain and armani fan!) and their prices are so much lower than ours, I use a US postal address through 'hop shop go' . They buy goods for you, ship it to their address in the US and then you pay for them to ship it to you in Australia.

I've never had an issue with their service!

Cigarettes or alcohol have duties and taxes so customs won't let them through without you paying the tax. ( not sure on $ as I've never done it) plus anything over $1000 you will be charged duty and GST ( I got caught out on that once!)

There's quite a few companies that do it. We use Bongo, although I don't think they're as cheap as they used to be but still worth a look. So basically you're allocated an address when you register with them and pay a percentage or small fee for the privilege. On the whole, it works out less than buying stuff here, even with shipping costs. We tend to buy from several different places and get Bongo to hold everything at the warehouse then ship it to us as a bundle. We do most of our Christmas shopping that way.

I've bought Stila and MAC cosmetics, Lego for SS and other gadgets, even jewellery from Tiffany & Co.

Depending on who you buy from sometimes you have to use a personal shopper service as the website won't even accept Australia credit card payments, it all has to be US based. In that instance it's a simple matter of emailing them a link to the product you want along with any specifics - size, colour, etc. they purchase it for you and you reimburse them with a small percentage added for the service.
