Kelly I had one cycle where I had one to freeze; another cycle where I had 2 embryos transferred but none of them worked. My one that worked was a 5 day transfer that was the only thing that was different. All my others were 3 day transfers.

Ooo that's interesting Hels. Why did they decide to change the approach on your last cycle ? I think I've read pregnancy rates are higher from 5 day than they are 2/3 day

Ps. Hope you're enjoying being on leave - are you just chilling out? How are you feeling?

I think the FS was wanting to try something different since I told her it was going to be my last cycle. During transfer, when they put it up on the screen she said it was rated AA which, she said was the best embryo I've produced so far. Gave me some hope.

I'm just chillaxing at the moment and getting heavier. The backaches have eased a bit since i stopped working so it is better. 2.5 weeks to go now I find it hard to believe its so soon.

Official negative today as I expected. Still really hard hearing the official bfn even if you're ready for it.

Sorry to hear that. Hope is such an insidious thing isn't it. Even if you know beyond a doubt what it's going to be there's still that voice in the back of your head saying 'it could go the other way'. Can understand how disappointed you'd be feeling along with the huge sense of loss. I was discussing this with my IVF counsellor yesterday - compared to regular people just TTC it's tougher for women doing IVF because we knew an embryo was in there so the loss is very real.

I think going for 5 day transfers sounds pretty smart - they do have better success rates.

It's never an easy phone call to receive Kelly, even if you already know the outcomes. At least you have a plan for your next move, you can focus on that until your new appt.

Hi everyone - been in a work cloud and just came up for air.

big congrats to scuba - that's brilliant.

Kelly - so sorry about the official negative. Our age is an evil factor in this dance. We know that statistically that the good eggs are tough to find now, but as long as there is still hope you've got to keep searching for them.

Can't wait to hear your feedback on Lynn!

I am sliding fast towards the official start of Synarel on the 28th. I would have started this week but my FS is away for a month from mid sept so I have to work in on her schedule. Too much time is causing me to overthink and over google! But at least by EPU I will have had more than 3 months of ubiquinol and melatonin and 10 weeks of myo-inositol so it will be an interesting test.

    Any other updates out there?
