Default Cost of an outdoor entertaining area awning?

Looking into how much an awning would be for an outdoor entertaining area.
Would like it to be at least 4mx5m. Not super-fancy, but good quality and okay looking.

Maybe they're called pergolas - anyway...it's the cost of the roof part that I'm after...installed.

WE had our done a couple of years ago. We had many quotes done from businesses and they were up to $10 grand.

We put an add on gumtree asking for a carpenter to re-do out patio, with photos, and we got a guy who came over on the weekends (he took 2 weekends) and did it for us. He charged us $3000. Its fantastic.
He got everything from bunnings and did it in his spare time. He was qualified (we made sure we checked his papers) and did a fantastic job.

Cost will depend on how big, what covering you want, weather in needs painting etc

    Good luck

That's a great idea! I'll keep that in mind next time we need something done. Never thought of advertising on gt for something like that.

We had a colour bond one done 3.3 x 6m with a pitched section ( for light). It looks sensational but did cost $9k. You could also try putting a job on service central for a quote - their tradies are all qualified I believe.

    Thank you!

Great to get some idea. We're looking at a house that doesn't have any covered outside area and wondering how long we would have to save up for and how possible it is.
