Default Best protective case for iphone

I'm upgrading my phone so I need a nice but protective case. What do you have? Love it or hate it?

I have a lifeproof case, is waterproof, apparently you could go swimming with it, but I'm not about to go try that out. Mine is a little chunky and ugly, but apparently there is a new version which is thinner and better looking. They are about $80 but well worth it I think, my last phone fell in the toilet...

I've tried more cases than I'd like to admit to but I always come back to Speck cases. They are not waterproof so if that's a requirement you might need something else but for everything else I'd recommend Speck.

I just bought a new iPhone too and I ordered myself a Speck case. There's also an Otterbox.

I have the Tech21 Impact shell. Not waterproof but as the video on their website shows, you can throw the phone against the wall and it will be fine. I haven't tried that but it has bee dropped several times on the floor and it's bee fine. I think I got it at the apple store for around $30. And it's very slim and sleek. Not ugly at all.

DH has the otter box and while it's totally functional for him (a tradie) so it's drop proof, sweat proof, wet proof, drop proof (idiot proof ) it's really bulky.

I have always had either SwitchEasy (oh how I miss the CapsuleRebel!) or Speck cases on my phone. I've had every iPhone that's come out (except the 5S) and I can't even count the number of times I've dropped them. I've only ever cracked one screen and that was a freak occurrence when it dropped at a weird angle and the screen actually hit something!

You're looking for the case to have a lip that comes out past the screen so it hits that instead of the screen itself when it drops.

Arrgh...so hard to decide. I'm leaning towards the Otterbox Symmetry but still undecided. Don't really think I need it to be waterproof just safe from drops. Any other suggestions?

I bought a case from one of those little kiosk things at the shops. No idea what brad, but its a flip open type one that is leater with silver sparkles ...

    and its great.

I have dropped the phone a few times with no issues, it doesnt get damaged in my bag or anything ... its really good, and really nice looking. (not waterproof etc though)
