Default If you were a single mum who had just bought her first house...

... What would be the best gift somebody could give you?

The same sort of thing you would buy anyone who just bought their first house.

Yep definitely a hardware voucher! We just bought a house (our second house) and have spent probably $1,000 or more at Bunnings in the last 3 weeks!

That was my first thought too. Lol.

Seriously though any kind of Coles, Bunnings, kmart type voucher would be great. Maybe wrap it up inside a nice plant to make it a bit pretty.

Or you could go with a voucher for a lawn mowing service for a few weeks? One less thing to worry about.
    : )

Please, save me the PC tripe. I was also a long term single mum (and bought two houses as a single mum too!) and I didn't mean it disrespectfully, I simply meant to imply it would be a gift for a female/mum and I was looking for ideas as I am terrible at picking gifts. I don't know anything else about this lady except for she is a single mum, I am the vendor so don't know her personally, and I was wanting to get her something a bit special as a random act of kindness that would really be appreciated, I know how hard it is buying a home on your own!

When my mum bought a house as a single mum then real estate agent gave a voucher for a local pizza joint. Us kids thought it was awesome and mum liked that it was a night where she didn't have to cook among the stress of moving etc.
