These are the boards we are looking at.
I like this. Trendy schmendy. Trends change all the time but you won't be changing your flooring all the time. The boards in the picture are a classic look.
@Teamcats...your floor boards are lovely but your little pantsless bub is way cute.

@Mummy12 yes please - do you get used to the difference in board tones? Is it a warm feeling? I found the reddish boards had a bit of warmth which I'd like but in a board not carpet.

Yeah I don't notice the difference in the tones I just think they look nice and don't really notice anything else lol. We have had them for about 6 months now (renovated and replaced the original boards -old house) and I love them they match with all our different furniture colours light and dark. I think that might be because they're are all different colour tones in the boards

Thanks @4underfour will check them out.

I do want something that just stands the test of time, DH is very good at picking expensive boards so it better last a long time!!!

Maybe I should be more open to the spotted gum

We're looking at tectonic due to laying over a concrete slab and they are extremely good noise rating which being in an apartment we have to be very aware of.

Just a thought, but you can direct stick the boards to concrete so that you don't get noise.
