The saga continues! The compounding pharmacist flat out refuses to split the prefilled syringes into six syringes. Thinks he will be liable if something goes wrong grr! So they are sending me the ten prefilled ones again and I have to expel the excess and just inject what I need. No idea how I'm going to do that! In the meantime they are ordering the vials in which is what they should have done and they will absorb the cost of the wastage. How crazy is that!!!! I'm worried about doing it this way but that's all they will do.

Yes I think I will change. They have always been really good with progesterone injections etc but this is new to them.
I'm going to try and do what Nidhulaine suggested. I don't want to waste it even if chemist is absorbing the cost. I will have to try and work out how much I need from each syringe and recap it. This will be interesting lol.

Professor, thanks for the compliment Miss Sagi, lol!
But I know nothing about ivf. Did try one cycle for PGD but compared to most ladies I am clueless. My mini area of expertise is unfortunately losing babies(7) and obviously that was because of immune issues so I am prob a bit obsessed with that area. I commented on the Neupogen as I have a MSc in organic synthesis (the chemistry of making drugs basically) and worked in labs for 10 years so I know without a doubt a compound pharmacist can easy work out the dose. They weren't exactly being helpful at that pharmacy and even if I didn't have a clue of dosage I know from ordering it 3 times that it shouldn't take more than a week to get in. For me Neupogen did work so I suppose I am trying to give it a good review.
I really like like the idea of chosing your own donor sperm and egg, it's a great idea. Good luck miss Sagi

Hi Hope168, sorry you're having a rough time... Seems immature eggs can be related to insulin resistance, have you been tested and tried low GI diet etc? Also has your FS tried different stimming protocols as maybe your follies are growing too quickly? I recall a mineral or vitamin that helps with maturity but can't remember what it is... Maybe google for that. Also take high doses of coq10 600-900mg per day...failing all that it could be your eggs, like SoClose says, try to be realistic about your eggs... I wasn't and we've moved to donor, I'm now 43 but did miraculously have a son at 39/40 with only 2 embies at day 3. Good luck, maybe get a second FS opinion???

Thank you preciousHeart. I am taking CoQ10 and a plethora of supplements. I am on the light side, so I am trying to gain a bit of weight. I have not been tested for insulin resistance and might be something to look at.
Of the 4 cycles, it has been, different I suppose. I am on high dosage of stimming meds, 450 menupor, the last time.
I've got a blood test tomorrow, to see if I can start on a long down regulation cycle. The previous ones have been antagonist.
And yeah, I know we have to be realistic as to whether my eggs are up for it or not.
How did your cycles go if you don't mind my asking?
Overall, thank you girls for sharing your stories.

SoClose what a bloody palava!!! Can another pharmacy do this for you if they are too chicken? Otherwise I'm sure the lovely Nidhulaine will guide you through... Try not to stress about it, it'll work out fine! Xxx
