Anther one. When you get gas they have it on the lowest setting to start but don't tell you.
I got to 10cm, through transition, said I had to push and they were like "would you like the gas turned up".
i went off at them "are you kidding me, crank it right up, why wasn't it turned up!!!"
So if you have gas, keep checking what level, its on especially if you're struggling.

No one ever told me:
That I could have a wonderful labour that felt like I wasn't in too much pain and not even realize I was 10cm when arriving at hospital. Or have a 6 hour labour for first bub.

No one told me that the liquorice that was suggested I eat during the first part of labour should really have only been a little bit- not the whole bag. Nor did I know that with each pregnancy my feet would grow about half a shoe size.

That after 3 perfectly straight forward pregnancies and spontaneous vaginal births you might find yourself with a high risk dibilitating pregnancy that leaves you incapable of making simple choices

You may not feel like your baby is the most beautiful thing in the world and be consumed with love instantly - dd looked funny and was covered in muck and I was too exhausted to feel anything really.
And yes you need a truckload worth of pads and change of underpants.

That I would want to throw myself off the building from the pain.
That I would be shocked first rather than 'in love' with my newborn.
