Default Anyone know what sort of animal makes these droppings?

Some animal is visiting us of a night time. We can hear it scurrying outside our door.

We have a bush area about 50m away so don't know if it's a possum or some sort of rodent.

We have droppings outside our ensuite door. Could anyone tell me what sort of an animal makes these, if anyone knows??

Yeah looks like mice or rat droppings to me. We have possums and their droppings look different.

ETA: I just re-read that you're near the bush. I know some people get Bandicoots in their yards too. Don't know if this pic is helpful?

    Ye ok.. I'd say rat.

We have no vegetation on our block so even though there is bush land close by I don't know why we'd have native animals... Not that I'm an animal whisperer but there's nothing but paving around us or the neighbours.

    Thanks

Is there any water around your back door, or animal food.

What's in it? Just vegetation or insects?

There is a down pipe right where the poo is.

There is no access to this side of the property from the front or the back. Small block and the actual wall of the house acts as the fence which stops us from walking around here.

The laundry door is nearby but the clothes line is on the opposite side of the property so there's no reason for us to actually go outside on this side of the house. So it's completely clean (no toys, grass, rubbish bins or dropped food) here.

    It's a 2yo house, we are renting.

Do I put some rat poison down or get the agent to deal with it?

    Probably both.
