I have had a bad cough for several weeks that has led to some pee leakage which I am going back to the gp again today to try and get sorted.
However last night after a particularly bad coughing episode I went to the loo, finished up and when I stood up I had some clear odorless fluid start dripping down my legs. I cleaned up and then grabbed a mirror to see exactly where it was coming from and it was not pee!
I went to emergency and they did the tests and they came back neg and said it was probably urine. I am concerned that perhaps they didn't pick it up as I saw exactly where it was coming from and it was not pee, did not look or smell like pee and was not coming from the right place. I have been getting on and off cramping since sat night which is more painful today but they didn't have much to say about that as my cervix is closed.
I don't feel confident that it is pee, I've had bladder issues for a while now and I know when I am leaking pee! This was completely different.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Amniotic fluid vs pee

That amniotic fluid test isn't accurate and that's why they're not meant to use it on it's own. Mine came back negative but scans showed a definite loss in amniotic fluid.
I'd be insisting on a scan and monitoring to ensure everything is ok. How far along are you?
Good luck x

I'm 32 weeks, I have a scan in 10 days. she asked me if I was having one and she was happy with that :/ it's ages away though if there is a problem...

Yes she had a look, said cervix was closed and did a swab which was neg.

Did you go to normal emergency or labour ward?
I went in to labour ward at 34 weeks with suspected fluid loss and they did that swab test, an internal to look for pooling of waters, a scan and monitoring to check bubs heart rate and look for contractions plus signs of distress.
Is bub moving a lot? If you're worried I'd be going to labour ward and insisting on a more thorough exam. I wouldn't ignore Mummy instinct x

I went to the birth suite and saw the doctor there.
Bub was/is fine. It's just that I know my body and I know what I saw. I wouldn't go down to emergency at 3am if I suspected it was just wee (why I checked to see where it was coming from - to make sure it wasn't before I go panicking). I've also had too many experiences of drs misdiagnosing or missing things.
