Default *trigger warning* Mother only finds out son has died 8 days later

    http://www.*******.com.au/he-died-in...l-got-too-bad/

    This is shocking

I know this story is in America, but it highlights the compromises that carers have to make.

ETA I'll try to find another link that's not blocked.

How amazingly sad for all of the children in that family.

These are some replies in Facebook to the article link:

"How do you keep having kids after the 1st 2 kids had disabilities???

Thats just selfish of the parents to keep on having more.

Boyh should be fixed so they cant ever have anymore.. poor little things"

    And

"Exactly! Why do all the children have so many issues?? No this just doesn't happen. Incest or drug abide whole pregnant"

May I just clarify, you do NOT have to be incestuous or a drug user to have multiple children with disabilities! Nor should you be 'fixed' to ensure you don't continue to reproduce after having 2 disabled children!

That's ridiculous! its like they are saying inadvertently that children/people with disabilities shouldn't be alive - terrible!

Oh goodness some times it's just so hard to see the goodness in something that people have to say.

No one will truly understand the world that family lived in.

Yes one bedroom is pristine, because the child is a vegetable. The other complete squaller... Because the child is severely mentally handicapped, autistic, out of control.

I dont condone any of it. At all. But ive seen parents at the depths of despair with their severely autistic children, who the system lets down time and time again. The children get older and considerably stronger (super human strength during meltdowns) and its a complete mess.

I feel for the family. I feel for the poor little boy who probably was just terrified and confused most of his life, and i feel for the siblings. I hope they get a better life.
