    @Mrs Hopeful - there is a small team of 6 midwives that are in a group sort of separate to the regular/standard midwives. This group is set up so that you have one designated midwife, and can contact them at any time by text or phone call if its urgent. As well as getting to know the one who will be assisting you through your labor and hopefully your birth. (they can only do a max 12 hour shift)

    We also get to use the birth centre rooms, so the ones with the baths and such in them. So much nicer environment.

    They plan to have you released by 4 hours after the birth all going well
    And yes, this is all public!!

    That is wonderful @bow ties! You are very lucky. That is the set up that all women should have access too. Im not in the catchment for the hospitals here that offer that.
    My local hospital is also where I do my Uni prac so luckily I know all the midwives & doctors there and they know me, so I feel pretty confident that I can have the birth I want (I want to catch my own baby).

    @Megsarama26 my heart absolutely breaks for you! It is aweful that you are having such a rough time. You and your babies are in my thoughts and I will be praying that they stay comfortable for as long as possible.

    We had a review and ultrasound today. Baby has put on a little weight, about a third of what he should in two weeks but some is better than none! Apparently the focus is more on gestation than weight now he's over 1kg. No benefit keeping him in longer than 34 weeks with his poor growth though so will definitely have a baby within 3 weeks, such a strange feeling!

    Sending positive vibes to you Megsarama, and hoping everyone else is well.

    Oh Bow Ties i'm so glad I'm not there yet. Although I have noticed my work shoes getting a bit tighter by the end of the day.

    Wow @Flower78 3 weeks! that's crazy soon! are you feeling prepared?

    I woke up at 530 this morning and had a major stress attack that I'm not ready and have so much to do. It's nuts I mean in theory I still have 7 weeks, plenty of time! But still

    @Totalkoas totally cute little munchkin!
    @Midnyteblu what is there still to do? Ultimately as long as snowflake has a bassinet and carseat your ready to go.
    @Bow Ties Are Cool, cankles are fun arent they? Not! Mine come and go and my rings get a little stuck towards the end of the day. Hope you're not too uncomfortable.

    DH flew back in last night after two weeks away, watching his reaction to my belly dance, rumble and roll even at the slightest movement from JJ for the first time was incredible. I guess I take those things for granted seeing it 10 x a day.

    Finally caught it on film too and sent it to a friend - pretty sure she's now traumatised
