I did my waiting.... 12 YEARS OF IT

I have all but part 2 of Deathly Hallows on dvd so I need to get that one. I also have the bluray box set but I can't get rid of my original movies. Those first 2 I've seen umpteen million times.

Or...buy the boxset when it comes out because having four copies of the series is the behaviour of a completely normal person *shifty eyes*

    Haha

I specifically waited until the books came out in a box set before buying them. They come in a little suitcase shaped box. Very cute

I also want to buy the DVDs in a box set but I'm too much of a right ar$e now to spend the money. But as PP said, I doubt I could get rid of my originals. I love them too much. The first time DH and I dtd was while "watching" The Philosophers Stone in my bedroom.

I've just finished the Philosophers Stone, so now I'm watching the dvd. I always forget how much of the book is cut out. It might not be necessary info, but still feels like so much back story has gone.

That's exactly how I felt when they removed Scabbers from PoA. I was devastated :-(

I'm still annoyed they cut out Peeves. They managed to put other ghosts in would it really have been so hard to put him in at least once?!

Edit: I do know he is a poltergeist and not a ghost

Especially since peeves is in the book more so than the bloody baron who is in philosophers stone. After taking a few days to listen to the book, it seems way too short that it's over in 2hrs

Oh I was going to come in here and talk about the lack of ghosts.

What really annoys me is things that are so pivotal in books are cut down to mere necessities in the movies. Ghosts only appear when they really HAVE to- Moaning Myrtle, The Grey Lady etc etc. No Peeves, hardly any nearly headless nick etc. It's all a part of the atmosphere of Hogwarts, it should have been there!
