I can kind of see, 8dpo is super early though so tell you friend not to get disheartened! I got a BFN at 9dpo and a BFP at 11dpo.

Although it's hard to wait. Sometimes it's just best to wait a few days and test again. A very faint line isn't really a good indication of a positive result since there is a bit of interpretation as to if you can see it or not etc. If you wait a few days and get a solid dark line with a clear result you might find you are all a bit happier knowing one way or the other for sure instead of being in limbo of not really having a conclusive answer etc.
Sorry. I know that's prob not what you were hoping to hear. But it's just my 2c worth.

I'm sure I can see a very faint line, I can't wait for another test !..I love looking for lines and get disappointed if the line is too easy lol
