It's our 4 year anniversary today. DP gave me 7 little bottles, 4 with the most incredible letter about her favourite thing from each year, one with a sound wave printed of her saying "I love you", one of a little hand drawn map of where we were for our first kiss, and one with an even smaller vial of soil from the first place we ever met. She also got me a wedding band with her fingerprint engraved on the inside. It's the most incredibly thoughtful and romantic gift I have ever received. We would already be married but Australia is a little behind on marriage equality. ImageUploadedByThe Bub Hub1406786852.973642.jpg

Cards and letters from my kiddies are the best pressies in the world but one birthday I won't forget is my 19th.

DH and I had been together just over a year but when we had first met we sat on the beach one night and talked for hours as you do, I told him that I loved musicals but in particular, Les Mis.

Fast forward to my birthday, we were both broke and I told him all I wanted for my birthday was a card ( I love cards) so he presents me with this giant scrapbook sized, homemade orange card. It was decorated with glitter, textas, stamps, pompoms....it was like a craft box threw up on this card and it was addressed to "the girl I love the most". While I was still gushing over the card, he gave me a smaller card with, you guessed it, Les Mis tickets.

A dryer! Dh gave it to me for my birthday. ToP of the range, biggest one you can buy. It helps that when he gave it to me it was filled with a dozen red roses and an engagement ring!! I use it nearly every day!!

For Christmas last year DP bought me a shower radio thing that works via Bluetooth so I can listen to the music that's on my phone while I'm showering.

It sounds like a lame present but it's AWESOME

Omg this sounds like something for me! What brand is it? I've got a shower clock/radio but when the radio is on the display doesn't show the time, just the volume (stupid!). DH rolls his eyes at me because I'll sit my phone on the top of the shower door so I can listen to my music. He's got a Bluetooth alarm clock that I also use, but complains because it's too loud when I turn it up so I can hear it in the shower. (He's a bit of a killjoy like that lol)

Gosh so many lovely gifts! Some very lucky people in this thread!

Hmmmm...probably one of the most amazing gifts I have received was on my 17th birthday. I had applied to uni to study a bachelor of photography and had been using my grandfathers old SLR camera that he bought in Japan in the late 1960's (it still worked perfectly mind you..they don't make them like that anymore!), but my parents and grandparents surprised me with a brand new SLR camera. I was completely gob smacked as I know it was very expensive and had never expected to get one. This was then topped on my 21st when I was given my first digital SLR by them all.

More recently, my hubby surprised me with an iPad mini completely out of the blue for no particular reason.
