When I finished high school rather than going to schoolies, mum and dad paid for me to go over to the UK where my aunt and uncle were living with their 4month old. My sister had to pay her own way (as mum and dad had paid for her to go to Germany on exchange a few years back), so they then also paid for us to go on a weeks ski trip in Austria through contiki. It's not a tangible gift, but 11-12 years later and we still talk about things that happened during those 2 months and the funny stories that went along with it. I'm still friends with one of the guys from the trip too and have caught up with him and his now wife twice since (once when I went back, once when they came here). Good memories and friendships are the best gift

DH gave me a voucher for tattoo for my 30th birthday which I used to get a tattoo in memory of the babies I had lost. People look at me strange when I tell them a tattoo is my favourite gift but to me it means my babies will always be with me so that's the best gift

Gosh so many from my DH ❤️

He just bought me a maternity ring knowing I didn't really believe in them. He went against the grain and got me one anyway and I love it as it resembles our girls.

Best gift I ever got though in this life is my actual DH he has changed my life. (I never tell him this stuff but it's so true)

I've received so many great gifts over the years I cannot pinpoint one as being the best! I'm very lucky. All gifts are great

When I was 10 I got a kitten for my birthday. I loved him so much but he got run over 4 months later. He was still my first best present.

My Mum got me a Cladagh ring with a garnet in when I was 16 and I still wear it every day. It is absolutely beautiful.

My older brother paid for me to go to France/Italy when I was 15. I was in 3 countries on my birthday

DF bought me a tent for my birthday a few years ago so we could go camping. It is huge and awesome.

There's also a sewing machine from my Granny, my mixer from my Dad and my polaroid frm my sister I've been lucky over the years.

Edited because DS2 pressed submit before I finished.

some of these are so lovely.

I am so incredibly blessed, I have received many, many gifts that have meant so much. I dont think I could pinpoint one.

maybe the little sign on my computer desk that I am looking at as I type ... that my daughter made for my birthday. Says "I Love You Mummy"

    DH is an incredible romantic.

I have a travel wish list and when DH and I were first dating I had casually mentioned to him that I would love to go and stay on Wilson Island on the GBR if I ever had the money. It never came up again as it's an expensive place to go and certainly not your regular holiday destination.

Two-and-a-half years later he surprised me with a four-day weekend to Wilson Island where he proposed over a champagne picnic on the beach.

It still makes me tear up when I think about it. DH listened to my wish, remembered and wanted to plan an amazing surprise for us to share that we will always remember because it's the weekend we got engaged.
