Wow, what a day! Induction started ok with the gel getting me to 2cm and then they were able to break my waters. Drip went in after that and contractions increased but it was just the synto doing all the work, my body didn't cooperate and my cervix didn't get any further than 2cm.
OB checked me and recommended that we turn everything off and give the uterus a chance to rest and hopefully start contracting on it's own. He knew I was worried about a cs so wanted to give us every opportunity to avoid it.
Turns out this was the right course of action because my body took over as soon as the drip stopped and I started dilating rapidly! I was officially in established labour at 6pm and we had a beautiful boy at 8:35pm. He's perfect, I feel great and it was an amazing birth on the end
