It all began in April. I saw a DVD at the shops for a movie I knew nothing about. Hmm Frozen hey, DD might like this, I'll just pick up a copy.
Within a few days she was watching it daily and singing along. We have the CD in the car, all the time. I don't mind so much as I fancy myself a singer. DD and I often belt out the tunes at full volume in the seclusion of the car.
I may have purchased a couple of cheap frozen themed items off eBay for Christmas.
Today was the kicker. We were at Target super early for once. I asked an assistant about Frozan clothes thinking I might get a jumper or pjs. She said "oh well we only have costumes but they're over here. Lo and behold there were a dozen Anna and Elsa dresses just hanging there. For those not in the know these have been sold out for months. I picked up an Elsa costume and about 30 seconds later there was only one Elsa one left and a few Anna ones. One gentleman picked up the remaining Elsa one then put it back. He explained " I have TWO daughters."
I saw one woman with FOUR costumes who was sent by staff to put two back.
Funny thing is DD has not asked for any of these items. She is only 3. Although she did go a little nuts when she saw the dress. Fortunately it has now been shipped off to Santa for safe keeping..
Why do we adults get obsessed with these kiddy things? DD wouldn't know the difference.
Anyone else out there got the frozen obsession?

DD last week got an Elsa costume (well its a leotard with a cape ... not a full dress as she is a bit old/big) but its really cute and she loves it.

Haha very similar story here. Picked up a copy on DVD having never seen it. DD(4) loved it instantly. We were watching it AT LEAST every other day. I loved it. Even DS(2) would sit still for the whole thing which he generally won't do! I bought an Elsa dress off EBay (though not an authentic one but DD had a dress up party coming up and I needed something quick !) and am looking at some figurines for DDs birthday cake later in the year. I don't know why I love it so much, but we would also go nuts to the soundtrack. So no, you're not the only one!

Yes another Frozenite here.
Watched every single day, CD is on constantly in the car. Me and DD belt them out quite often, even have daddy singing a few!
Have gotten costumes and figurines off eBay as there is no way I'm prepared enough to be first in line for when stock become avail at stores.
DD currently has her Elsa costume which consists of one of my old blue sarongs.
Also hair must be in side braid each day for her!
I'm just hoping she isn't over it by the time Santa comes coz I'm screwed for ideas.

My 2 boys loved it instantly but dh got it for me.
I'm a big Disney buff and it was the first time dh had sat and laughed along with me in so long.
Now Ds2 watches it every week or so or I go nuts. I love the soundtrack and don't want it ruined by my boys or Dh who is over it.
No costumes or figurines yet but I'm waiting on Once upon a time to start back! Let's see what they do with frozen.

I went to Target to do my lay-bys and there was a sign saying all Frozen costumes and dolls were sold out. This was about 2 hours after opening. I was planning on getting a doll for DD in case she likes Frozen when she's older (she's only 9.5 mo!!) and I don't know how long the dolls will be around. So I wasn't too bummed that I missed out but another lady there was.
I do tend to go a bit crazy for that type of thing though. I got DS's Woody doll shipped from the US because the ones here are a bit rubbish. He was 2 at the time and couldn't have cared less. It was me who wanted him to have the better one.
