it's funny as I think he is just imitating what I say but he says it with such emotion and always at the right times

Standing next to the couch holding DD when DS (2) climbs up, put his arms around both of us, his head snuggled into me and says in a soft sweet voice 'cuddles' ❤️

Our little guy has never been a kisser. We have always kissed him on his face, but he would not initiate kisses or give them to us if we asked. He is affectionate towards us, but on his own terms.
About 3 weeks ago I was sitting on our living room floor and he was standing in front of me. He looked me in the eyes, uttered a sentence (not sure what he said) then he grabbed my face with both hands and planted a kiss right on my lips! I was overjoyed
Now he regularly gives us kisses. It took him over 3 years to initiate this, so it was kind of a big deal!

When DS teaches me a lesson or imparts incredibly adult wisdom on me - he is 3 but he blows me away with the things he says sometimes, and I wonder who the adult is in this relationship!
And, watching DS when he sleeps.

It'd have to be walking and holding my toddlers hand. I just look down at her and melt. Today we were walking around the garden holding hands and she was looking up at me and saying 'mumma'. Hearing my bubba say mumma is beautiful, especially as I once thought that was a name I'd never be called.
