Default Think our bfing journey is coming to an end :(

So after cutting DS off from night feeds and replacing with daddy cuddles a month or so ago because I could not cope with 6-7 wake ups per night any longer we were down to just the one feed before bed.

Out of the last four nights he has only asked one night for his milk

I know we've done so well getting this far and part of me would love to have my body back and go buy some nice sexy bras again. But I'm also a little sad. For the most part I enjoy that bonding that only he and I can be a part of.

No real point to this thread I guess, just feeling a bit down after he didn't ask again tonight

I am so glad to hear your DS has improved with his sleep.

You did so well to last this long and although sad it sounds like he has decided to wean himself in the end which is easier on him.

Bf is such an amazing experience it can be very disappointing when it comes to an end.

Oh yes his sleep has definantly improved thankfully.

I'd hoped he would self wean as I hate the thought of him upset but I guess I just wasn't prepared for it to happen just yet.

I honestly didn't expect to bf for this long so I really should be thankful I could.

Will wait and see if he decides to ask for it tonight I guess.

Thanks Bunty. I think you're right. He went two nights without asking, asked for one, and now three without. And I've been sitting in our chair in his room reading to him before bed so I think if he was going to ask that would do it.

Oh well the end of an amazing journey I guess. He's still sleeping through so that's good.
