I would definitely do some quick & easy games like pin the tail on the donkey, piñata, sack races or three leg races.

We recently had my DS & DD birthday party. They turned 6 & 3. We got a drizabone and taped lollies all over it. Also stuffed the pockets with lollies. We got someone to wear the coat and run, throwing lollies from the pockets as he ran. The kids had to chase him and try and pull the lollies off the coat. Was hilarious to watch and the kids thought it was great. They had so much fun. Good for burning off energy too :-)

Musical bobs, pass the parcel and a treasure hunt are my party game staples!

Some great ideas thanks! Don't really want to do a treasure hunt because other kids will be at the par and they may be a bit young. Love the drizabone idea, will def do that
