@Bellydance i booked mine in at 14 weeks and the earliest i could get in was when im 32 and 33 weeks along. And ive just now noticed they put me in on Easter Saturday, too bad if i wanted to go away.

You're so organised! I'd better get on to booking something.

Why so early @KitiK? My cousin has & will have the steroid shots as my niece & nephew (nephew to be born by c sect 19/12) are premmie bubs. I'm being induced at 39wks if I haven't gone by then so will book it with dates to be revised as needed

I'm having twins and my ob can't give me a date for csection yet all she said is that she won't allow me to go past 38 weeks which will be the 2/4. I'm not sure about steroid shots but all I know is that it helps mature the babies lungs if they are not quite ready yet.

@BabyOB, my OB is going on leave so its scheduled for her last day - otherwise it will be well past my due date and I am not happy with just any OB or the one on call (unless its an emergency of course!). I am more than happy to go early - so long as it is safe for baby and me I have had a 39w, a 38w and this one will be 37+1. I know the steriods help mature babies lungs, just wondered if anyone had experience with them as I have heard they really hurt! Hopefully being a boy he might be bigger than my girls (both abt 3kg) I know full term/maturity is from abt 36w and have been told its just a precaution incase of any fluid.

I remember being so, so uncomfortable at 39w, cant imagine going to 40+!
@Nezz79, twin pregnancies are so unpredictable (my sister and a couple of friends have had twins - with various issues and delivery dates) all arrived safely and are healthy little kids thankfully!

Yeah that's understandable @KitiK. Get the shot/s in your bottom as in the legs is painful my cousin said. She's been on steroids for 3wks now cause her hind waters started leaking at 29+3

Oh that'd be scary @BabyOB! What are they trying to do about it? Bedrest? Limited activity/ admission? I hope she hold on for as long as it takes for everything to be fine!

PS: thanks for the tip...! I'll be asking for the bum shot I think!
