Macarons aren't that hard to make really, its just very time consuming. It took me a while to perfect them but now that i know how its pretty simple.
Would you mind sharing your macaron recipe and tips?? I have tried twice and failed miserably

@Jontu I use Adriana Zumbo's italian meringue recipe, i have scanned in the recipe from his book: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...4/macarons.jpg

It's best to have the egg whites at room temperature and if possible have them sitting out in a bowl over night (covered). His recipe says to use powdered eggs but i've never done it that way and they have come out fine.

Make sure you process the almond meal and icing sugar together and then sift, otherwise they will come out lumpy. All the other recipes i tried never mentioned this, they just said to sift the two together.

If you don't have a silicone mat, i suggest using 2 sheets of baking paper on your trays. It makes removing them from the tray easier if you need to pipe more.

I then make any filling for the center, normally i just make a white chocolate ganache or something simple.

I'll be making some lemon ones next weekend for my SIL baby shower
