Hey I cant find any in any chemist - apparently there has been a shortage - does anyone use a different brand and where I can get it from? Im from NSW BTW....

Funny u say that. Im in melb and the same thing is happening with the heinz formula at the moment. The lady at the pharmacy and also at the supermarket told me there is shortages on karicare and heinz formulas at the moment.

How old is your baby? Maybe check with the health nurse if you can use a substitute, maybe Cornflour?
This also suggests it as well as some other links I found but can't post here because they're other forums

Thanks for the ideas everyone - I didnt realise there was a shortage until today. That will teach me to leave it so last minute to replace it I guess.... She is 11 months so I am starting to wonder if maybe I should think of stopping it and seeing how I go... Happy girl 1982 that is a kind offer...I am at work tomorrow for 10 hours so it may be in the evening...it would be good to have a back up can/option in case the weaning goes wrong...

You could just buy karicare AR formula it comes already thickened

Yeah sorry I forgot to mention she is on prescription formula for a suspected CMPI...cant move onto an ar formula...

Ahhh I get that my DS has cmpi but his so bad he can't even use thickener because it may contain traces of milk product. His feeds are fortified so instead of 1 scoop to 60mls he has 1 scoop to 30mls. His on soy.
