Carpe Diem, I'm so sorry you saw a GP who wasn't much help, but please either try another GP in your immediate area or ring Lifeline 131114, they really will be that voice of support and resources you really need to hear now.

I know it probably all seems insurmountable right now, but you are worth it and this will not go on forever, I promise, it won't always be this struggle, you can and will get through this, even though it doesn't seem like it right now.

Please try and seek help again, by way of Lifeline, another GP or someone you are close to.

I'm at a loss and just want to drug myself up and sleep and is ideally not wake up.
What do you mean by 'just needed to get on with it?' This makes me feel really worried for you. Your GP is giving you the message that you don't matter and that your life isn't worth fighting for. I disagree with him.

I do know that feeling of that it would be better just not to wake up, so I certainly have been there, and get that sometimes the idea of nothing is infinitely better than how you're feeling right now. The thing is, you are telling us on here how you're feeling, which makes me think that at the moment, right now, you want to be around. So please, please go to your ED, or ring a close friend, or keep talking to us on here.
