Hello everyone! I just recently found out I was pregnant and I am thrilled to bits, however a bit anxious about every little thing!
I am from Sydney and was wondering if anyone could share any experiences/info about the royal women's.
Was also wondering about the safety of certain products I use everyday like whitening toothpaste, antiaging serums, dry shampoo and pimple cream (sorry if that is silly question!)
Also, is cramping and pressure/fullness normal at about 5 weeks?

I can't help with the hospital, but I had cramping with both girls from about 5-10 weeks.

Not from Sydney either.
Fullness and some cramping is normal for sure.
As for the products, as long as your face and pimple cream doesn't have vitamin A in it or retinol they should be fine. I use whitening toothpaste, never really thought of it and I'm pretty all over what's safe and not!
I find just google 'such and such in pregnancy' and see what the general consensus is.
of course some medications etc you should ask your dr.

I'm also not helpful with the hospital since i'm not from Sydney but just wanted to say I got some minor cramping at 5 weeks.
I have been anxious the entire pregnancy (up to week 29 now) regardless of how normal most things seemed to be!.I also had spotting from week 10 until about week 16 on and off. That only increased the anxiety.
Hope you can find some strategies to relax during your pregnancy. Best wishes!

Congratulations! I've been getting cramping and I'm around 6 weeks along. Last pregnancy I remember getting the same pains so as long as it's not extremely painful, or accompanied with bleeding, it can be normal

I agree with the others. As long as your cramping doesn't invole bleeding you should be ok. I get cramps every now and then too.
Not sure about your face creams ect but google will really help.

I loved the royal hospital, comparing to the others it offered the best quality service and examination before birth. They were always so particular and specific. Nothing To complain. The only negative was there's too many training doctors in my case. During my delivery the final stage I had a few training doctors examine me while the head doctor explained everything instead of getting on with it. And a training doctor stitched me up. He's done a good job but at the time I was not happy.
Most midwives were ok. Although at the time I was feeling overwhelmed and I felt they judged me more than helped.
With my first pregnancy I googled everything before using / eating. But with second and third I have been using anything and everything. Only eating safe and healthy and staying away from smelly cleaning products oh and I don't dye my hair or use tanning products while pregnant too
