    Default Itchy willy

My 3 year old keeps complaining that his willy is itchy. I have given him worm medicine and the gp said that it is thrush. I have used thrush cream on it but it doesn't seem it be helping. It is a little red but notHing really noticeable. He is circumcised. Does anyone have any suggestions? It is really annoying him.

Is he in nappies or undies? Just thinking if you might of changed your washing powder or something and it has irritated it?

Op, (if you haven't already) make sure he uses a fresh towel each time he has a bath, at least until the thrush has cleared. You could also wash with some Canesten/Dettol solution. I would also have him go undie or nappy-less to let some air get to the area and wash with water only.

Purple Lily also brought up a good point with washing powder/detergent etc, as that could well be irritating it also.

If it's thrush, try canasten plus cream. It also has cortisone to calm the redness right away while the infection clears. You will need to apply it morning and night for 3 weeks to ensure the thrush is completely gone.
