Any tips? We don't force it and just try every few days... will he just 'get it' one day? Should we be worried?
I wouldn't be worried, some babes generally just don't take an interest until they're 7-8 months and one day it just clicks.

Great advice from Chekry and I'd second it.

DD has always been interested in food, but I have to say, her confidence eating (baby led weaning) has really taken off in the last two weeks. She knows as soon as I say 'eat' and tap my mouth she knows what is to come. He will get there! And then soon enough you'll have two growing boys eating you and DP out of the house!

If you are concerned just check in with your GP but I'd say as long as he is still gaining weight and having good feeds he is fine.

    Hi all,
Just a quick question - do those of you who are pregnant know of any gay mum's-to-be meet up groups or pregnancy groups around Sydney? I'm part of a straight group of pregnant ladies and I'm the only lesbian mum to be! Just wondered if I might be missing out on some lesbian mama social action? Haha! Or does such a thing just not really exist....?

I'm not actually sure if there are any but then again I haven't joined any preggo groups haha. How far along are you? Where in Sydney are you based? I would imagine there are some around the place but not entirely sure where.

Haha yeah, preggo groups. They've proved interesting! Partner steers well clear!
I'm 32 weeks today and based in crows nest.

Not much difference in us then! I'm 33+1 today. We are in the Hills District and I know there are some same sex parent groups that meet up with their bubs but haven't looked into it because I wasn't planning on joining any mothers group really. I think it probably cos we have a few close friends with small bubs already so I feel like they are the mothers group for us already haha.

I know there is a playgroup in Erskinville called rainbow families that you might be able to join once bub is here do you know what you're having? Is this your first?
