No staying in townsville for this scan... As it isn't done at Genea to begin with. It's done at Sydney women's ultrasound or something like that...

I am unsubscribing from thhis group.
My HCG levels aren't doubling and my progesterone level has halved. HCG only increased from 95 to 135 in two days.

I've booked for a harmony test for a couple of weeks time (11 weeks), I've read up on it and its non invasive, a blood test and you get your results 8 to 2 weeks later. Its expensive I've been told $520 for mine. It will determine risk of downs, trisomy 13 & 21 etc. For my last baby I had 1 in 5 chance of downs after they did the nuchal fold testing and I had a CVS (which was a horrible process) and bub is now a perfectly normal 2 year old so a lot of unnecessary worry. Harmony test seems so much better to do.

So it's just a blood test from me, no needles to baby?

Oh @ScubaGal I am so sorry to hear that your numbers aren't looking good. This can be such a tough process at times. I hope things turn around but if not be kind to yourself. xxx

@Soques yep the harmony test is just like a normal blood test. They are able to find minute amounts of the baby's cells in your blood and test them. Because they aren't taking the blood directly from the baby the can't give 100% results but they are pretty much 99.9% accurate. So it was well worth the money for me. I had a cvs previously too and it was a bit traumatic.
Ps if you get a ref for a dating scan they tend to throw one in for free which is a bonus- I took my mum for that one! @ScubaGal I hope things turn around for you
To everyone else, and welcome to the new ones!
sorry got a sick dd today so am distracted, will try to pop back later
