A good friend of mine has just had her second baby. She didn't have a baby shower so I have not given her a gift yet. I'd like to get her/ the baby something but as this is her second and they are both boys born in the same month she literally has everything she needs.
I don't want to give her anything that will be unnecessary clutter but I feel like a gift is in order and I can not think of anything suitable, any suggestions?

Gift for a second baby?

Lovely organic bath wash (the stuff you wouldn't necessarily buy yourself due to cost/luxury item), something for Mum and some homemade meals to freeze. Something for the big brother.
When I had my second girl I needed newborn clothes as she was a lot smaller than my firstborn but everyone bought clothes in big sizes which I didn't need or use.
I would avoid buying soft toys (we have so many and I dislike them all very much!)
What about new towels/washers for both boys? Bath toys etc - things that are nice to have new but we tend to keep for a long time?
I hope that helps.

I always buy new babies lovely bath wash as pp suggested.
I either go for milk baby or dirty baby. Milk baby is often on sale on catch of the day or mumgo
If I know they're breast feeding I will bake some lactation boosting cookies or get mum a nice steel water bottle.
Often just a home cooked, easily reheated meal in a throw away foil container is the best present of all!

I've just had my second boy and clothes were actually really handy as both boys were born in different seasons. Other gift ideas include a hand/footprint set, bath toys, a baby book or something personalised from tinyme (once you know the name!). Tinyme have wooden name puzzles which make a great gift.
