Luca: Fantastic result! That's great news. Glad you're enjoying your time in CT.
(Did you use a proven donor, btw? Still wavering on that particular issue...)

Btw, for anyone who's had their treatment plans and are investigating flights, I had an email from Travel.com.au this morning to say that Singapore Airlines are having a sale (including on flights to SA). Not sure of restrictions, but might be worth checking out...

Great results Luca! Did you guys decide to go with the safety net clause of anything over 15 being sent to the clinics egg bank or are you going with them all?

Seahorse: no I wasn't stressed before the blood test, they just felt routine. (Well I didn't feel stressed and needles don't bother me)
I have frequently been tested for prolactin which generally has always been high (above 450).

I know from previous discussion with my FS that it affects ovulation and egg quality but was just wondering if it affects implantation (and thus DE cycles ) ??

Hi Blinky, my understanding is that it does effect implantation and that it may also have something to do with natural killer cells. :-( I'd be trying to get more information before investing so much in your DE cycle. Sorry you're going through this. I hope you get some good news soon.

Luca, congratulations on the egg numbers! Great result.

Wrt the excess eggs over 15 going into the egg bank, I sort of got the impression that it wasn't optional? Did anyone else get that impression or do I have it totally wrong?

(Having said that, we signed it and then got 23 eggs and they fertilised them all. They didn't take them for the bank)

Well the feedback is in for my prolactin levels. It obviously has some effect as SA are concerned and want me retested. This matches what Wazza wants to do .. So off for more bloods for me. If the levels are high again, I'm going on to meds to reduce my prolactin levels. I guess I am lucky we caught this now so we can fix it before January.

MissErinR - Dr LR told us that they normally only take the eggs for the egg bank if they get inexcess of 20-25.

I was looking at all of our photos of South Africa this morning. This time last year we were over there. Gosh we enjoyed it and I get a funny pang inside of me every time I see South Africa in particular Cape Town featured on the travel shows. We will most definitely be going back... my husband is already wanting to go for another! Not sure if I quite have my head there just yet, as it would be so different with two little ones?

Reading all the BH updates regularly. Lots of love to all of you on this journey. It really is quite amazing.
